Hello everyone. I am Parijat. This group is for connecting with other Indians/Desi's in New York. Group members will try to come with ideas and choose a location for meet up. Want to keep this description as short as possible. Aim is to have a good time getting to know each other over lunch, dinner or just sitting and chatting over a cup of tea/coffee.

We enjoy reading and discussing Indian books... classics as well as newer books.  Emphasis on fiction, but we do read some nonfiction.  We meet for lunch at an Indian restaurant, thereby combining good conversation about interesting books with a good (and relatively inexpensive) meal.
